I travelled to New Orleans to help a friend and his family. We inspected and cleaned up his home, surveyed the city, and paddled the streets aiding residents without a boat. We were told by police at the road block to turn around. Garth asked where and the officer pointed ahead. Not finding a safe place to make a U-turn, we drove on to New Orleans. After the road blocks, things got quiet.
We took the back roads to get past the I-10 road blocks.

Entering Jefferson Parish on the Huey P. Long Bridge.
This was Garth's house under construction. The frame is badly bent. Finding a contractor over the next year or so will be tough.
Garth's home had minor damage. His dad's house had electricity so we spent the night there.
